I'm the Digital Humanities Coordinator in the Research IT group at UC Berkeley, with a particular focus on digital humanities. Before that, I spent ten years at the University of Chicago. My background is in Slavic linguistics and library and information science, but my major interest is in making research and scholarly communication work better. To help facilitate that in the humanities, I've written a book, Drupal for Humanists, to be published by Texas A&M Press this fall.
I've taken at least one photo every day since August 29, 2007 and have over 70,000 Creative Commons licensed photos posted on my main Flickr account.
I'm also "that person who documents university library graffiti".
